Established in 2022, Bohne is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaapi Machines India Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading coffee equipment company and a trusted name in the café and hospitality sector since 2006. Strategically based in Bengaluru, India’s centre of innovation and coffee-loving neighbourhood, Bohne operates from an 8,000 sq. ft. facility in the industrial corridor of Bommanahalli.

The company was founded to address a clear market need: India lacked domestically manufactured, specialised coffee and tea equipment that was affordable, efficient, and suited to local use. Bohne is bridging this gap by designing and building machines that are engineered in India, for India, with European standards, regional relevance, and innovative technologies at their core.

Bohne’s expertise includes in-house product design, R&D, manufacturing, assembly, and customisation. The brand specialises in automatic coffee machines, industrial coffee grinders, filter coffee, and tea machines. Additionally, it provides consulting and design services in emerging technologies such as IoT, Cloud integration, AI, and connected machines, helping customers unlock the potential of smart beverage solutions.

As a tech-led brand with deep category and engineering expertise, Bohne delivers products that are not only reliable and intuitive but also accessible in terms of pricing and after-sales support. By localising production and spare parts, Bohne significantly reduces maintenance costs, making high-performance brewing solutions more viable for Indian hotels, restaurants, kiosks, tea and coffee carts at office cafeterias, institutional spaces and food courts.

History & Origin

The story of Bohne Engineering starts with a question: Why should India, one of the largest coffee producers and fastest-growing café markets, rely almost entirely on imported coffee equipment? This question led to the founding of Bohne in 2022, as a response to the long-standing industry gap in accessible, domestically manufactured food and beverage machinery.

Bohne is established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaapi Machines India Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading coffee equipment company. With over 15+ years of experience in distributing premium international machines, Kaapi Machines gained a thorough understanding of both global standards and the challenges faced by the Indian market. There was a clear need for a domestic solution, one that could provide world-class engineering at local prices, customised for Indian operations. The primary goal from the start was not just to assemble machines, but to design, develop, and innovate, from concept to final product.
